Def: 'Bothy':- .

‘A small cabin offering shelter and sanctuary to agricultural workers, often found in the Scottish Highlands.’

The Snug.

After a fun packed day at the beach everyone needs a bit of down time. The snug provides a great space for the kids (or big kids) to chill out and relax, watch their own TV and play games.

A little private sanctuary all to themselves, with twin beds and access to a shared bathroom. How very grown up!

Food Heaven.

Its easy to become distracted by the majestic skylight when you are in this kitchen. If you find it too distracting, take a wander into the village and explore the numerous eateries.

Family Fun.

With so many activities on the doorstep, there is something for everyone.  There are plenty of games provided at The Bothy, including a full-size tennis table. Use our blackboard to plan your week or leave us a message when you leave, we would love to hear about your holiday!

SURFING AT CROYDE

Croyde has been a hot spot for surfers for many years. The beach sits within a natural bay which produces good waves for surfing. The influence of the Gulf Stream creates a Maritime Climate which creates cooler summers, milder winters and a warmer sea, all ideal for surfing.  Complete beginners surf alongside UK national champions all year round, with Christmas day being no exception!

  • We had a great stay at the bothy. Clean, tidy , close to the beach and village with very comfy beds! Excellent selection of games to keep the kids occupied on a rainy day. Would definitely return here.

  • Really lovely space which our whole family (including the pup) thoroughly enjoyed. Made for a perfect winter retreat. 10 mins lovely walk to the beach. Loads of space for our family of 5 and very cosy with the wood-burner. Champagne and chocolates on arrival was a very nice touch too. We all agreed we would definitely return again in 2021

  • Sarah is a fantastic, responsive host. The house is lovely and clean with a wonderful kitchen/diner, perfect for socialling with friends and family. The location was fantastic, very quick and easy to walk to Croyde beach. Would highly recommend.
